Reincarnation is a fascinating subject and cannot be totally separated from theology and philosophy. In counseling work, however, the focus is on the psychological dimension of Past Life Therapy, which has enormous healing potential. The focus is on transforming the individual, not on proving the reality of reincarnation. Belief in reincarnation is not even necessary to experience the benefits of this healing modality. What exists at this time is a working model of the psyche that is effective for breaking free of unwanted, persistent patterns that have been resistant to resolution. As a gardener Dianne sees a comparison between soil and soul. Doing the soul work of Past Life Therapy is like pulling out the taproot of a weed -- it doesn't grow back. Neither does the unwanted pattern in a person's life.

Dianne began doing past life sessions in the mid-1980's as an outgrowth of her counseling work in astrology. One man came to her for astrological counseling to get some answers to some troubling feelings he'd had since childhood. Through their discussion Dianne began to intuitively sense that some unresolved past life material was affecting his current emotional state. "Scott" did experience some immediate release as a result of doing a past life regression, and more layers of healing occurred after some follow-up work over several years. There is a unique healing rhythm for each individual, and these processes take time. In our “instant fix”, hurried modern world we often lose touch with that truth.

While Dianne does not consider herself a psychic, she has developed a strong intuitive faculty to recognize the potential of past life components in a current condition. This stems from her own extensive experience in this terrain, for one can't lead anyone where one hasn't gone oneself. Because of her own experiences she KNOWS the territory well. Dianne does not “read your past lives’, but during a counseling session serves as a catalyst and guide for you to reach these levels within yourself, which is the point at which healing can best occur.

DIANNE'S BACKGROUND: In 1991 Dianne's work in Past Life Therapy was featured in Dr. Raymond Moody's book, Coming Back. Dianne received certification as a Past Life Therapist in 1997 from the IBRT, The International Board of Regression Therapists, one of the first to be so certified. She has been a member of IARRT, The International Association of Regression Research and Therapies, since the mid 80’s and frequently presents workshops at their annual conferences. In addition she published several articles in The Journal of Regression Therapy. Dianne has also lectured on Past Life Therapy to the Jung Society of Atlanta, Georgia.
